About Noreen Hynes

FCA Chartered Accountant | Former CEO, Serial Entrepreneur | Award-Winning Irish Author| Financial Literacy Advocate |Turning 40 Years of Financial Experience into Books

THE REAL STORY
Noreen Hynes is a financial literacy advocate and award-winning author who spent more than 40 years as a Chartered Accountant, Finance Director, and CEO before building her own businesses from scratch.
She knows how to start a business, find startup funding, manage cash flow, write a business plan, present to investors, handle small business accounting and plan an exit strategy — because she has done all of it.
She also knows that most young adults never learn how to save money, budget properly, build credit, create an emergency fund or start investing — because nobody ever teaches them financial literacy. She knows how compound interest builds wealth in your 20s and how side hustle ideas can accelerate financial independence.
That knowledge — earned over four decades — is exactly what both her books are built from.
Rich Start covers personal finance for young adults aged 18 to 28. Start-up Checklist for Success covers everything an entrepreneur needs.
She is an award-winning author and her book co authored with the late Eugene Savage Start-up Checklist For Success - The Essentials You Need To Know is available on Amazon.
Rich Start: The No-BS Money Guide for Your 20s will be released in late 2026. Get the free 30-day money action plan today.
Why She Writes
Two things have always frustrated Noreen.
The first is that young adults reach their 20s with no real understanding of personal finance — how to save money, budget wisely, how to avoid and get out of debt, build credit, start investing or build wealth. Schools do not teach financial literacy. Banks profit from the gap.
Rich Start exists to close it.
The second is that passionate entrepreneurs start businesses every day knowing how to start a business but lacking the practical knowledge of doing adequate research on their startup ideas, startup funding, cash flow management, small business accounting or exit strategy planning.
Start-up Checklist for Success exists to fix that.
Both books do the same thing — give readers the financial literacy and business startup knowledge that used to be reserved for people lucky enough to already have it.
